"Get up!"screamed Mom. We were all sleeping and it was 7:30 a.m already. We had to leave for Chopta at 6 a.m on that day and all of us(me & my cousins) almost forgot it. So, finally we woke up and quickly got ready to leave. After a long drive winding through the Himalayas from the time we left Haridwar, we followed the Ganges, going through Deoprayag and Rudraprayag, we entered Chopta at about 11 p.m, tired but stilleager to see the beautiful mountains(as we had heard that Chopta had wonderful scenic beauty). As it was night, nothing could be seen except a place with a few tents pitched and to my surprise I saw a boy aged about 12 sitting alone, near fire which he had lit. For us, it was strange to see a boy who is so young, sitting alone, drawing something. We went close to him and asked" Hi! we've come from Delhi. Why are you sitting here alone and what are your drawing?" He replied, "Hello. My name is Abhimanyu. I am sitting here since sunset and I want to see the sun rise. I am not drawing anything right now but I will draw a landscape of Sunrise once the sun has risen." I said, "Oh! I see, but the sun would rise after 5-6 hours, what would you do till then and where are the people with whom you've come here?" He said, "I'll try to cook something or simply see the beauty of this place. My parents have gone somewhere, they'll come back tomorrow." Hearing this, we said, "It's strange to see a boy so young but so brave. We've come for camping here, would you mind joining us? We'll go for treks, rafting and have a lot of fun & frolic." Abhimanyu said, "I'd love to join you all since I love to camp and camping in such a beautiful place is a great idea. But I'll join you once my drawing is complete and my parents come back." And the next day, we all camped together, became great friends and had a lot of fun. And then my brother Abhimanyu woke me up as I was dreaming lying in my tent after a long long drive from Delhi to Chopta. Oh wow what a beautiful dream in such wonderful scenic place.
